Written by Jennifer Holik: I had the pleasure of meeting Mary at the Federation of Genealogical Societies Conference in Fort Wayne, IN, two weeks ago. If you are looking for a “boots on the ground” researcher, Mary visits Italy twice a year to research for her clients.

Mary M. Tedesco specializes in Italian and Italian-American family history research.  She speaks fluent Italian and travels often to Italy where she conducts genealogical and historical research and visits family.  Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Boston University and a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University’s Center for Professional Education. She is the former Co-Director of Programs of the Massachusetts Genealogical Council.  Mary is also a member of APG, TIARA, the DAR, IGSA, NGS, NEHGS, and Maine Historical Society.  Her favorite destination on Friday afternoons (besides Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, Massachusetts) is Mass Vital Records!  Mary can be contacted at progenitore@gmail.com.
