Are you looking for genealogy programming in the far Chicago suburbs? Willing to travel a bit for new and exciting programming? Then check out the Elgin Genealogical Society.

The Elgin Genealogical Society meets the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m and the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held at the Gail Borden Public Library,  270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin, IL.

The June Tuesday meeting will be Adding Media to Genealogy Software and Becky Higgins will be presenting using examples from Family Tree Maker 2012.

The June Thursday meeting will be Who Sank Grandpa’s Boat presented by Dan Niemiec who you may have heard speak at Casa Italia. Dan also writes a column for the Fra Noi.
